Hangor 1.0
Prototype AUVOur first autonomous underwater vehicle, built to establish the foundation of the Hangor platform with core maneuverability, sensor integration, mechanical prototyping and basic autonomy.
Mind Door AUV Systems
From underwater perception to intelligent mission execution — Mind Door develops compact AUV platforms that make marine robotics smarter, safer and more accessible.
Who are we?
Mind Door is a marine robotics startup focused on designing, manufacturing and selling autonomous underwater vehicles for inspection, research, mapping, education and competition-grade autonomy. Our product line begins with Hangor 1.0 and Hangor 2.0: two compact AUV platforms built around modular mechanical design, robust electronics and intelligent software.
We combine mechanical engineering, embedded systems, AI vision and underwater control to create vehicles that can navigate, perceive, interact and collect useful data below the surface.
Product Line
Two AUV platforms designed to prove, improve and commercialize underwater autonomy — from the foundational Hangor 1.0 to the reliability-focused Hangor 2.0.

Our first autonomous underwater vehicle, built to establish the foundation of the Hangor platform with core maneuverability, sensor integration, mechanical prototyping and basic autonomy.

Our next-generation AUV focused on improved reliability, modularity and intelligent underwater operation with advanced perception, waterproof architecture and mission-ready subsystems.
What we do
Mind Door is a product company first — but the same mechanical, electrical and autonomy stack behind Hangor lets us put a vehicle in your hands, send our crew on the dive, or build a custom platform from the keel up.
Take home Hangor 1.0 or 2.0 as a compact, ready-to-dive AUV — then make it yours. We fit the sensors, payload mounts, grippers and mission modules your work actually needs, and hand it over field-ready.
Skip the divers and the downtime. Our crew deploys Hangor to inspect hulls, tanks, pipelines and submerged structures, then hands you clean footage and a report you can act on — no one ever has to get wet.
Have a problem no off-the-shelf vehicle solves? We engineer it end to end — from the mechanical frame and power system to a ROS2 autonomy stack — and take it all the way from CAD to proven, in-water results.
Exploded Assembly View
This exploded view video highlights the AUV's internal structure and assembly, with the vehicle positioned on the left and non-essential frame edges cropped for a cleaner presentation.
An exploded assembly animation of Hangor 2.0, shown with the AUV aligned to the left and excess frame areas cropped.
Technology Suite
Mind Door AUVs are built around a modular ROS2 ecosystem, AI-assisted perception, sensor fusion and a reliability-centered electrical architecture.
Behavior-tree mission sequencing for autonomous gates, navigation, deployment and recovery tasks.
Real-time object detection and feature matching for underwater targets, gates, markers and mission boards.
VectorNav IMU, pressure sensing and sensor-fusion localization for GPS-denied underwater movement.
Centralized power distribution, dedicated regulators, kill switch safety and pre-deployment checks.
Efficient AUV Workflow
Define task priorities, depth targets and vehicle behavior before deployment.
Execute stable underwater motion using 6-DOF control and closed-loop feedback.
Identify mission targets and trigger torpedo, marker or gripper mechanisms.
Analyze mission data, refine algorithms and prepare the next deployment.
